The CHERRY ROLLERMOUSE™ is a joint project from CHERRY and the ergonomics experts at Contour Design. Unlike a traditional mouse, you control the cursor by sliding and rolling a roller. The user can click either by pressing on the roller, or using the buttons below. Due to the intuitive operation, only a few hours of familiarization are necessary. After that you won't want to do without your CHERRY ROLLERMOUSE™ ever again!
The advantages of this new type of input device are very diverse. By placing it directly in front of the keyboard, you don't have to reach over anymore if you want to switch from typing to mouse operation. Your hands rest at all times in a relaxed posture on the comfortably padded palm rest. Since you don't have to reach out with your right arm too to operate the mouse, your shoulders remain in a more natural position. If you suffer from RSI (repetitive strain injury, or “mouse arm”), the CHERRY ROLLERMOUSE™ can provide noticeable relief. An ergonomic mouse alternative can help with carpal tunnel syndrome, tendosynovitis, ulnar channel syndrome or simply with tension in the arm, shoulder and neck area. But even if you do not suffer from any of these complaints or want to take preventive action, working with the CHERRY ROLLERMOUSE™ is definitely extremely comfortable, efficient and a lot of fun. You can rely on the design of this mouse. The IGR Institut für Gesundheit und Ergonomie e.V. (Institute for Health and Ergonomics) has confirmed the ergonomics and usability of the roller mouse with a test certificate.
Technically, it leaves no wish unfulfilled either. The movements of the roll bar are optically scanned with up to 2,800 dpi. If the cursor is too fast, you can reduce the speed to 600 dpi. It is not only the speed that can be adjusted, but also the click resistance and even the click noise of the roller. Additional buttons for copying, pasting and double-clicking make your work noticeably easier.
Adjustable keyboard supports are included so that you can use your desired keyboard together with the roller mouse. You can adjust them to bring your favorite keyboard to the right height.
